Herefordshire is famous for Hereford cattle, hops and cider. This beautiful largely unspoilt rural county offers much to the visitor: 'black and white' villages, ancient castles and hillforts, historic houses, cathedral cities, open gardens and vineyards. It is also the home of numerous craftsmen and artists. The properties are within easy reach of the Malvern Hills, the historic cathedral cities of Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick Castle, Ironbridge, the birthplace of Industrial Britain, the world-famous second-hand book shops in Hay-on-Wye and the hills and lakes of Wales, Other points of interest include the Elgar Trail, the Civil War Trail, the Hop Trail, Ledbury, home of John Masefield and Elizabeth Barrett-Browning, and the beautiful River Wye. It is ideal for horse riding, cycling, hiking, golfing, all available nearby. There are working farms where you can see cheese being made, feed the chickens, hold baby piglets.
